Fluorocarbon Riverge is recommended for assemblies like the one shown, especially for side extensions. The advantage is that the Riverge is slightly stiffer than the Grand Max, which is a prerequisite for preventing rotation (entanglement) of the side extensions with the main leader. The Riverge is recommended for nymph fishing for better positioning of the nymph under the surface, it is also excellent and suitable for fishing with wet flies and streamer. However, when fishing for brook trout larvae, we recommend to prefer Grand Max . Grand Max is also advantageous to use as a main leader because of its higher strength in knots, which is a prerequisite to prevent the whole leader from breaking off when caught on an obstacle.
